Package Courses

At Ability Education we design package courses for people who need to study English first and then go on to study at tertiary level in a

• vocational college, or
• university

With some of the institutes where we have direct pathways with our package courses we can offer one enrolment fee (instead of two) and you will be paying for only one student visa.

To enter a vocational college such as TAFE New South Wales or a university you will need an assessed English language level of at least upper intermediate to advanced – or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) equivalent of 5.5 to 6.5.
We have arrangements, including agreement and understanding about course contents, with various vocational colleges and TAFE as well as universities in Sydney.
Once we know your English level and the course of studies you wish to undertake, we can design a course especially for you. This will include the number of weeks you will need to study English with us and at what levels, before going on to study at one of our affiliated colleges or universities.
Various areas of study from which you can choose, include:

• Accounting
• Business and marketing
• Building and construction
• Design and multimedia
• Engineering
• Hospitality management
• Information technology
• Telecommunications
• Tourism

We estimate that it takes between 10 to 12 weeks to go up an English level or an IELTS band. We can help you plan your educational pathways through our General English course and then our English for Academic Purposes or our IELTS course.
