What is this award?

It is an award recognising innovative contributions of excellence to the ELICOS sector.

Why did we win?

General English Plus won this award because it

demonstrated strategic approach to addressing a specific, clearly defined issue meeting identified student need;

an institutional approach to and support of innovation; and

demonstrated impact on students with clear evidence of use of a feedback loop.

What is the General English Plus innovation exactly?

We have designed two types of General English courses to ensure we meet the needs of ALL student learning styles. Our General English Plus courses have a more serious and academic teaching style. Students are pushed forward, preparing them for greater study and work goals. This means that every student can succeed with the right kind of learning they need.

Renaming Ability Education

We are proud to announce that we are renaming Ability Education as ABILITY English – as from 1 October 2011.

Why the renaming?

ABILITY English is evolving even further as an English language industry specialist. By modifying the name we are clearly showing students and their advisers that teaching English is at the centre of all our operations. At ABILITY we strive to be the experts in high quality English language teaching and specialise in providing innovative solutions to student problems.What does the new logo symbolise?

We are also changing our logo as shown above to more closely link ABILITY English with the branding of MEGT (Australia), our parent company. Because ABILITY English is part of MEGT, a large Australian-owned provider of education, training and employment, we are able to offer our English language students access to a wide variety of education and employment opportunities, and we want our logo to reflect this.

Our goal

MEGT Education has a primary goal to have all services operating under one integrated business structure. We are doing this so that MEGT Education is simple and easy to work with. The new identity of ABILITY English is part of this “integration” strategy. Our visual representation in all our marketing activities will reflect that we are part of MEGT a well-established and respected large enterprise
